In a surprising collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special arms
• Survey Corps steed

Third Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
